Artist Statement:
My work is primarily influenced by the natural world that surrounds us all. I try to portray my own feelings and emotions that nature evokes in me. Whether it is the joy and bliss that I feel when walking through a field of brightly colored spring wild flowers, the sense of completion and accomplishment that I have at the end of the day while watching the sun set, or the solitude and peacefulness that I experience as I am hiking in the redwood forest in the Pacific Northwest, nature truly inspires me.
